TrueChild is partnering with Frontline Solutions, a consulting firm helping organizations pursuing social change, and the Association of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE), which increases social investments in black communities, to conduct a webinar on Black youth and Gender Norms.
The webinar will explore "intersectional approaches" to how gender norms interact with issues like race and class, and includes an open Q&A.
Scheduled presenters include Frontline's Dr. Micha Gilmer and Allison Brown from the Communities for Just School Funds, Dr. Jahmal Miller, Director of California Office of health Equity, and TrueChild's Riki Wilchins.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to: 1) Know and understand basic gender associated terminology, 2) Understand the basic concepts of gender transformative giving, 3) Know how gender norms impact black and other youth of color, and how to integrate this into an intersectional approach to gender
